GLENN JOHNSON photo gallery

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Glenn studied percussion with Allen G. Smith, and studied music at Cass Tech High School. After playing in assorted basements, garages, theaters, and jams, he joined with Dimitri Mugianis in 1977 to form the ever evolving Mr. Unique and the Leisure Suits (later Leisure Class).

In New York, Glenn studied at the Drummer's Collective, with Duduka Da Fonseca, Frank Malabe, Ricky Sebastian and Bob Weiner. Later, he studied privately with Joe Morello.

He has written music for WGPR TV and radio, the Better Than Average Stupid Variety Show, Table Top Video, Taly and Russ Johnson, and the Paul Hodge Foundation.
